You should have 5 Level 2 questions for each of your 3 topics. The basic idea is to find out what scholars consider the important questions about your topic that they explored elsewhere, and then see how what you know about what happened in Gwinnett compares to those other stories.So, for example, if you were looking at draft evasion in World War 1 in Gwinnett, you would NOT merely ask how Gwinnett compared to New York (assuming your research found a discussion about Draft Evasion there). Instead, you would briefly lay out what you found in Gwinnett that applies to draft evasion and then ask what scholars had found in New York (or elsewhere). For a second question using the same basic ideas, you could lay out what scholars found in New York, and ask them to retell events in Gwinnett that match those ideas. (There MUST be events in Gwinnett to use if you use this approach.) Try to find at least three big ideas you can build questions around, but remember that your audience does not know what you are talking about unless you simplify it for them.Each of your Level 2 questions should have a Turabian Citation of the scholarly history source used to create the question, that you found using the “America: History & Life” database through the library. Use the bibliography form of citation, which can be found at: https://www.chicagomanualofstyle.org/turabian/turabian-notes-and-bibliography-citation-quick-guide.html A missing citation for your scholarly history source (article or book) is a serious mistake. A minor error in using Turabian will count off, but is not a big deal. You should use italics for the title of any book, journal or newspaper.
