Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn – I didn’t limit my digital presence to only one network, as I chose to be pretty much everywhere. Agrawal (2016), argues that “Social media is not always an online distraction or procrastination platform. While some may be addicted to their social media networks, it is one of the best ways to stay informed.” Indeed, social networks keep me informed on the latest sports results, news from the political arena, cars, computers, technology, and so much more. In my opinion, the whole world is at the edge of the fingertip on any smart device, and that’s possible due to the never-ending flow of news transmitted through social media channels.2. Social media networks are platforms for networking, i.e., getting acquainted and sharing information. Thus, it’s quite reasonable that an employer might be willing to network with his/her employees through social media – get a closer look at subordinate’s interests, family life, and a chronology of life events to form an opinion regarding an employee. I worked on my accounts before starting work for a few of my employers in San Diego. I got rid of all informal comments and pictures, religious content, shared posts of political preferences to avoid any prejudice or biased opinions in my regards.3. Currently, I’m working on the creation of social media pages for my industrial business (www.fastfixdisinfection.com). I’m going to need a business Facebook page, and a business Instagram account, both of which would allow me to capture leads online on top of the leads I’m getting through my website and Yelp account. This is a top priority right now since I couldn’t get my hands on social media before because I was focused on website SEO for Google, Bing, Yahoo, and 75 other platforms, to get discovered online more efficiently. According to Normoyle (2019), social media business presence is essential because consumers “… understand the importance of social media and how it adds value. Now that consumers often experience interactions with companies that are not face-to-face, shifting to social media has become an ideal way to engage with customers actively”. Moreover, as the same source states,”When it comes to enhancing your brand’s overall visibility, there is no subset of marketing that is shifting faster than social media. by Jalen Thornton Yes I have social media accounts on a few different social media platforms. The social media accounts that I currently have are Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter and Instagram. Out of those 4 social media platforms I only use two of them, Instagram and Snapchat. The other two accounts I don’t use anymore but I can’t find it in me to delete them. I have the social media accounts because I like to keep in touch with people I no longer get to see because of distance. I like following the lives of past friends and allowing others to continue to follow my life as well.Currently there is nothing on my accounts that employers might find questionable because I have family that follow my accounts and I know that the internet is forever. When I was younger I might have had questionable photos, videos and overall posts. My social media accounts are private so only my friends and family can view what I choose to post.In the future I will continue to post similar content on my social media because I am not ashamed of anything that I am posting as of now.
