More than two years after the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic which shut down sports and entertainment events, public relations and marketing executives in sports are getting creative once again in their activation campaigns to engage media and their fans. Immediately below are just a few examples.

With that, please research, review and select just ONE recent campaign (a campaign that took place in 2021 or 2022) from those above or one of your choosing featuring a sports entity (a sport’s sponsor, league, team, athlete, coach, etc.) that is getting creative in their recent public relations efforts and found a way to deliver content and/or experience in a way that has effectively generated media coverage as well as social media buzz.

I am looking for the following:

– Error free writing

– Provide your rationale why you believe this creative approach has been successful and support your point-of-view with excerpts or quotes from news articles

– Cites examples of media coverage as well as the positive response from consumers via tweets/posts on social media
